Adding an RMON History Configuration
To add an RMON history configuration:
STEP 1
Click Add
STEP  2
Enter the parameters:
Source Interface—The port or LAG from where the history samples are to 
be taken.
Max No. of Samples to Keep—The number of samples to store (1–65535).
Sampling Interval—The time in seconds for which samples are to be 
collected from the port (1–3600 seconds). The default is 1800 seconds (30 
minutes). (If you choose to edit an entry, this parameter is read only.)
Owner—The RMON station or user that requested the RMON information (1–
127 characters). 
STEP  3
Click Apply. Your changes are saved to the Running Configuration.
Viewing Sampling Results
To view the results of a sampling, select the corresponding checkbox in the 
History Control Table, then click History Table
The History Table displays statistics collected for most recent samples, up to the 
maximum number configured. For a description of these statistics, see 
RMON Events
RMON events are used by RMON alarms to force some action when a threshold is 
crossed for a particular RMON counter. (See 
 for information on 
configuring thresholds.) The event information can be stored in a log and/or sent to 
a trap receiver. Use the RMON Events Page to configure these actions and view 
events that have occurred.
To display this page, click Status and Statistics > RMON > Events in the 
navigation window.
When you initially access the page, the Event Table displays the configured 
events.
