It is assumed that the procedures to initially configure a VPC-VSM instance as described in the Getting Started chapter 
have been completed. 

  An ASR 9000 VSM contains four physical CPUs. Each CPU runs an individual VPC-VSM instance 

(StarOS VM). StarOS must be separately configured on each instance. 

 

  You must log into the StarOS VM to complete the procedures described in this chapter. 

 

  The commands used in the configuration examples in this section are the most likely-used commands 

and/or keyword options. In many cases, other optional commands and/or keyword options are available. Refer to the 
Command Line Interface Reference for complete information.
