Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager 1.2 Release Notes
 
  Functionality Added in Cisco EPN Manager 1.2
Support to convert the internal names of devices to FDN (Full Distinguished Name).
API MTOSI and REST API support to obtain details of a route and the topological links used in the 
route for a circuit.
Layer 3 VPN Service Provisioning and Management
Support for creating VRFs on Cisco ASR 9000 devices.
Automatic allocate VPN IDs, route target IDs, and route distinguisher.
Discovery and provisioning of VPNs consisting of multiple VRFs.
Ability to define IP endpoints attached to a VRF and associate Ethernet subinterfaces with VRFs.
Ability to provision BGP neighbors between the CE and PE.
Ability to attach QoS profiles to endpoint interfaces.
Topology
Geographical maps (geo maps)—First phase of online “Google-style” geographic topology map 
with auto-grouping. Allows you to position network devices on a world map and monitor them 
within their geographical context.
Wireless Device Support
This release includes support for the wireless devices referenced in the device support table (see 
). These features are documented in 
the addendum to the 
Data Center Features
Many data center devices and features are available in Cisco EPN Manager 1.2. All data center features 
are beta features. Use them for test purposes only.
Job Dashboard
New dashboard that provides details about job success or failure (or partial success). Jobs are organized 
into three categories: User jobs, system jobs, and poller jobs. Allows you to pause and resume jobs, 
schedule jobs, cancel jobs, and so forth. 
Administration
System Settings web GUI—Improved organization of settings into logical groups (general, mail and 
notification, network and device, and so forth).
Backup—Support for FTP and SFTP backup repositories.
Documentation
New Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager Supported Alarms document that lists 
supported alarms with alarm details including probable causes and recommended actions.
Improved web GUI device support table, which provides information about minimum device 
software versions (for devices that have a minimum), certified device software versions, and so 
forth.
