Chapter 2      Managing SQL Server Database Targets
  Managing Target Definitions
Deleting a Target
Use the Definitions—Target view to delete targets that are no longer used. Before deleting a target,
access the properties, and click the Used By tab to view where objects are being referenced by the target.
This ensures that deleting the target does not affect any processes or activities. If there are any entries in
the Used By tab, the deletion will fail.
To delete a target:
Step 1
On the Definitions—Targets view, highlight the appropriate target, right-click and choose Delete.
The Confirm Delete dialog box displays.
Step 2
Click Yes to delete the target.
Viewing Member Of Properties
Use the Member of tab to view the target groups to which a target belongs. The name and type of target
group displays in the list box.
To view the target groups:
Step 1
On the Definitions—Targets view, highlight the appropriate target, right-click and choose Properties.
The [Target] Properties dialog box displays.
Step 2
Click the Member Of

tab to view the target groups.
Step 3
To view the properties for a specific object, highlight the object, right-click and choose Properties
