Autoconfiguration and vPC+
Autoconfiguration with vPC+ provides enhanced vPC+ synchronization of end-host-triggered configuration to help
prevent inconsistent configuration states between the vPC+ peers. In deployments with the end-host connected
through a PortChannel to a vPC+ pair of leaf switches, and also with a single-homed end-host recognized as a
vPC+ orphan port, the autoconfiguration instantiation should maintain a consistent configuration on both vPC+ peer
switches to prevent vPC+ and VLAN inconsistencies. For example, a VLAN inconsistency would be reported as a
type-1 violation and would cause the suspension of that particular VLAN.
The Cisco Fabric Service over Ethernet (CFSoE) Protocol on the vPC+ peer link is responsible for synchronizing
the automatically allocated VLANs and Segment IDs during autoconfiguration instantiation to prevent vPC+
inconsistencies.
The same is true for the locally allocated end-host-facing VLAN and SVI instantiated through VDP. In this case, the
two leaf switches need to allocate the same first free available VLAN from a local pool as described previously.
Figure 60 shows an example with two single-homed end-hosts. Each end-host is connected to one of the two leaf
switches and the auto-configured profile instances are synchronized to the neighbor leaf switch. The example
shows the relevant flags (L and V) along with the synchronized end-host (physical or virtual) MAC address and
ARP entries.
Note:   When the trigger for an end-host (physical or virtual) or a set of end-hosts appears on each of the two
vPC+ leaf switches, the flag is set to LV.
