Restart the System Components
After installing the SR 2.8.2/3.8.2/4.3.2 software, follow these instructions to restart
the system components.

Restarting the DNCS
1 Click the middle mouse button on the DNCS and select DNCS Start. The DNCS
processes start.
2 Click the middle mouse button on the DNCS and select Administrative Console.

3 From the DNCS Administrative Console Status window, click DNCS Control.

The DNCS Control window opens.

4 From an xterm window on the DNCS, type dncsControl and then press Enter.

5 Type 2 (for Startup / Shutdown Single Element Group) and then press Enter.

Restarting the SARA Application Server
Important: If the site you are upgrading uses the Rovi Corporation Application
Server, skip this procedure and go to Restart the Application Server at Rovi Sites
(on page 70).
