3-Touch Dialing

Use 3-touch dialing to speed dial Contacts from 100
through 999.

1. In standby mode, press and release the number key

representing the first digit of the desired Contact’s

speed dial number.

2. Press and release the number key representing the

second digit of the desired Contact’s speed dial

number.

3. Press and hold the number key representing the third

digit of the desired Contact’s speed dial number.

Answering a Call

n   To answer an incoming call, press

Send.

Note: To choose other options for answering calls, see

n   To ignore a call and send it to voicemail, press Ignore.

Tip: To silence the ringer on an incoming call, press

Quiet

(Left Soft Key), or press the Volume key (

)

.

Send a text message to a caller instead of answering a call.
(For more information, refer to “Creating and Sending Text
Messages” on page 36.)

1. To ignore a call and send a text message instead,

press TXT.

2. Select a preset message and press Send.

– or –

Press New to create a new message.

– or –

Press View to edit an existing message.

When you receive a call while on a call:

n   To place the first call on hold and answer the new call,

press

Send.

n   To return to the first call, press

Send again.
