Important! You must set a screen unlock PIN or password 

before you can use credential storage. For more 
information, see “Screen Lock” on page 117.

1. From the main Home screen, touch 

 Settings 

➔ More... ➔ VPN.

2. Touch Add VPN Network.

3. Enter a name for the VPN network in the Name field.

4. Select a VPN type from the Type drop-down menu. 

Selections are:

• PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol)

• L2TP/IPSec PSK (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol / Internet Protocol 

Security Pre-Shared Key)

• L2TP/IPSec RSA

• IPSec Xauth PSK

• IPSec Xauth RSA

• IPSec Hybrid RSA

5. Enter the Server address and fill out other required 

fields.

6. Touch Show advance options check box to display 

additional VPN options.

7. Touch Save to save your settings.

Wi-Fi Direct allows device-to-device connections so you can 
transfer large amounts of data over a Wi-Fi connection. 
These devices must be enabled for Wi-Fi Direct 
communication. This is not a hot spot or WAP connection.

Note: See your service plan for applicable charges for Wi-Fi 

Direct.

1. From the main Home screen, touch 

 

Settings ➔ 

More... ➔ Wi-Fi Direct.

2. Touch the 

 OFF / ON icon to activate Wi-Fi 

Direct. If you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, a 

prompt displays to tell you that the Wi-Fi client/hotspot 

operation will disconnect.

3. Touch OK to continue. The device scans for available 

Wi-Fi Direct devices.

Important! The target device must have Wi-Fi Direct service 

active and running before your device can detect it.
