Entering Text
Your phone offers three text input methods: the Samsung 
keyboard, Google voice typing, and Swype.
• 
Samsung keyboard: Enter text on a virtual QWERTY keyboard.
• 
Google voice typing: Speak your text input.
• 
Swype: Enter text by sliding your finger or stylus from letter to 
letter, lifting your finger between words.
Using the Samsung Keyboard
The Samsung keyboard is a virtual QWERTY keyboard for text 
entry, featuring optional predictive text. Input characters by 
tapping the on-screen keys with your finger.
You can enable predictive text to have the Samsung 
keyboard match your typing to common words and display 
them. Select a word from the display to insert it into your 
text.
Configuring Samsung Keyboard
Configure the Samsung keyboard to your preferences. 
  From the Home screen, touch

Language and input. Touch

Samsung keyboard to configure options. For more

While entering text with the Samsung keyboard, touch 
and hold

Entering Upper and Lower Case Letters
The default case is title case (Abc). Enter upper and lower 
case alphabet letters by touching the Shift key to toggle the 
case, before touching the letter key(s).

Touch once to switch from abc to Abc mode.
• 
Touch and hold to switch to ABC mode
Entering Symbols and Numbers
To enter common symbols, touch 
 to switch to symbol 
mode. Touch the symbol key.
To enter less-common symbols, touch
