Creating Contacts

1. From the Home screen, tap

Contacts

Create contact.

2. At the Save contact to prompt, select a save option for

the contact (options depend on accounts set up):

• Device: Save to the phone’s Contacts.

• Samsung account: Save to your Samsung account.

• Google: Save to your Google account.

• Add new account: Add a new account in which to save your

contacts.

3. Tap contact fields to enter information:

• Tap the Contact photo to choose a picture to identify the

contact. Choose Image, to use a photo that you have stored on

your phone, Pictures by people to select a picture that was

tagged, Take picture, to take a new picture of the contact, or S

Note to retrieve the picture saved to S Note.

• Tap Name to enter a name for the contact. Tap

to enter

First name, Middle name, Last name, or Name suffix.

• Tap Phone number to enter a phone number. Tap the label to

the left of the phone number to choose a label, from Mobile,

Home, Work, Work Fax, Home Fax, Pager, Other, Callback

or Custom. Tap

to add another number.

• Tap Email address to enter an email address. Tap the label to

the left of the email address to choose a label, from Home,

Work, or Other; or choose Custom to create a new label. Tap

to add an address.

• Tap Address to enter an email address. Tap the label to the left

of the address to choose a label, from Home, Work, Other; or

choose Custom to create a new label. To add an address, tap

• Tap Groups to assign the contact to a group. For more

• Tap Ringtone to choose a ringtone for the contact.

• Tap Message alert and select a tone to play for message

alerts.

• Tap Vibration pattern to choose a vibration pattern to play

along with the ringtone when this contact calls or sends you a

message.

• Tap Add another field and select the field type.
