Adding Pauses to Contact Numbers
When you call automated systems, you are often required to
enter a password or account number. Instead of manually
entering the numbers each time, you can store the numbers
in your Contacts along with special characters called pauses
and waits. A pause will stop the calling sequence for two
seconds and a wait will pause the calling sequence until you
enter a number or touch a key.
To add a pause or a wait to a Contact:
1. From a Home screen, touch
 Apps
Contacts and then touch the name or number
to open the Contact.
2. Touch
Edit to edit.
3. In the phone number field, touch the point in the
number that the pause or wait needs to be added.
4. On the keypad, touch the Sym and then touch Pause(.)
to add a two-second pause or touch Wait(:) to add a
wait. Touch 123 and enter any additional numbers.
A pause displays as a comma (,) and a wait displays as
a semi-colon (;).
5. Touch Save to save your changes or touch Cancel to
discard.
Using Contacts
Dialing or Messaging from Contacts
Once you have stored phone numbers in Contacts, you can
dial them easily and quickly by either using their SIM card
location number or by using the Search field to locate the
entry.
You can also send messages from Contacts.
Finding a Contact Entry
You can store phone numbers and their corresponding
names onto your SIM card and phone’s onboard memory.
The two locations are physically separate, but are used as a
single entity, called Contacts.
Depending on your particular SIM card, the maximum
number of phone numbers the SIM card can store and how
they are stored may differ.
1. From a Home screen, touch
 Apps
Contacts.
2. Within the Contacts list (sorted alphabetically), touch a
letter on the right side of the display to quickly jump to
the contacts beginning with that letter.
