Section 4: Push-to-Talk (PTT) Functions
If you depend on instant communication, choose Verizon Wireless
Push-to-Talk (PTT). Whether at home, in the office or across the
country, you can quickly connect with one or multiple users at
the same time with just a push of a button. Plus, you can make
regular voice calls on the Verizon Wireless network.
For Alert calls, press the
PTT/Side Key send an alert to the
recipient to notify them about a call. The recipient can choose to
respond and begin the conversation, then you alternate pressing
and holding the
 PTT/Side Key while speaking, and
releasing the key to listen.
Alternatively, you can place a Barge call by pressing the
PTT/Side Key to hear a tone, then pressing and holding the
key while speaking. In this case, your voice will be broadcast
instantly over the recipient’s speaker.
