You must select Save Page Image in OmniPage Document in the settings 
panel Preferences options in order to:

• Retain  graphics.

• Verify recognized text with the image.

• Re-recognize pages.

• Defer recognition.

However, writing page images to disk takes extra processing time. To 
speed up processing and save disk space, deselect Save Page Image in 
OmniPage Document 

if you don’t need to do the above operations.

The Manual Zones feature lets you draw selection boxes (zones) around 
just the parts of a page you want recognized. Using this feature, you 
don't need to wait while OmniPage Pro recognizes unnecessary text.

For example, if you scan a full page of text but only wish to recognize 
several paragraphs on the page, draw zones only around the desired 
paragraphs. Since OmniPage Pro ignores areas of text that are not part 
of a zone, page recognition will be quicker.

To set OmniPage Pro so that you can draw zones manually, select 
Manual Zones

 in the Zone button pop-up menu or in the Process Settings 

submenu of the Process menu.
