Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the scanning glasses.

Wipe the rollers with a firmly wrung cloth moistened with water or
mild detergent while rotating the rollers.
Rollers are located at the positions indicated in the figure below. Turn these
rollers in the direction of the arrows as you wipe them clean.
