Select this when you connect the 

supplied headphones.

Select this when you connect other 

devices such as speakers with an 

Backlight

The backlight lights up for the 

selected time when you press a button 

or while scrolling.

The backlight is turned off to save

 Center

The display is moderately bright. If 

the body color of the player is black, 

the default setting is second from the 

left.

Set toward – to make the display 

brighter and toward + to make it 

darker. The level is set to center when 

you press   while pressing 

SEARCH/ MENU on any display.

 Negative

Characters and icons appear in white 

and the background in black.

Positive

Characters and icons appear in black 

and the background in white.

2) When you press VOL+/VOL– when the backlight is off, the backlight turns 

on.

3) The settings returns to the Factory settings when you press   while 

pressing SEARCH/ MENU.


