(3) Assembling the DVD Mecha Unit:
• DVD-2800: Refer to the Service Manual (X-0111) pages 8 to 10, and install the
DVD Mecha Unit on the main unit in the counter procedures of the item # (1).
• ADV-700: Refer to the Service Manual (S-1091) pages 7 and 8, and install the
DVD Mecha Unit on the main unit in the counter procedures of the item # (1).
(4) Confirmation of the Version and the Actual Operation:
After confirming the following versions of the DRV ROMs, reproduce DVD and
CD available at your place and confirm that the unit is capable of playing back
discs properly.
• DVD-2800: Refer to the Service Manual (X-0111) pages 8 to 10, and install the
DVD Mecha Unit on the main unit in the counter procedures of the item # (1).
• ADV-700: Refer to the Service Manual (S-1091) pages 7 and 8, and install the
DVD Mecha Unit on the main unit in the counter procedures of the item # (1).
(4) Confirmation of the Version and the Actual Operation:
After confirming the following versions of the DRV ROMs, reproduce DVD and
CD available at your place and confirm that the unit is capable of playing back

• Confirmation of the Actual Operation: Reproduce DVD (SINGLE-TDV520, etc.,
and DUAL-TDV540, etc.) and CD available at your place, and confirm that the
unit is capable of playing back those discs properly.
4-2. When replacing the HOP-1200R with HOP-1200RN:
(HOP-1200R HOP-1200RN) The modification completes by upgrading the DRV
ROM only. (The replacement of ROM only, no modification of the circuit is
required.)
1) Outline of the procedures to replace the HOP-1200R with HOP-1200RN:
(1) Removing the DVD Mecha Unit
(2) Replacement of the DRV ROM and the Traverse Unit
(3) Assemble the DVD Mecha Unit
(4) Confirmation of the Version and the Actual Operation. Note: In the case of
DVD-2800 and ADV-700, rewriting of the DRV ROM by means of CD-R or CD-
RW is not possible. Therefore, please replace the DRV ROM with the following
ones.
