Common
Cautions:
¡
Do not use the unit in an irregular condition, for
example, without sound, or with smoke or foul
smell, which can cause ignition or electric shock.
Immediately stop using the unit and call the store
where you purchased it.
¡
Never try to repair the unit by yourself because it
is dangerous to do so.
If You Suspect Something Wrong
Check and take steps as described below.
If the described suggestions do not solve the problem, it is
recommended to take the unit to your nearest authorized
Panasonic Service Center. The product should be serviced
only by qualified personnel.
No power
Car’s ignition switch is not on.
a
Turn your car’s ignition switch to ACC or ON.
Cables are not correctly connected.
a
Connect cables correctly.
Battery cable: connection to the terminal that is always live
Accessory cable: connection to the car ACC source
Grounding wire: connection to a metal part of the car
Fuse is burnt.
a
Call the store where you purchased the unit, or your nearest Panasonic
Service Center.

Monitor
The tilt angle or the
front-rear position of
the display is not
adjustable.
There is an obstacle.

Install the unit where the unit moves freely.
The monitor does not
go back into the unit.
The monitor stops on the way to the home position.

No sound
The volume is adjusted to zero.

Side brake (parking brake) connection lead is not correctly connected.

Connect the side brake connection lead correctly.
You did not pull the side brake (parking brake) lever.

Noise
Picture is not clear.
A mobile phone is used near the unit.

Keep the mobile phone away from the unit.
The unit’s grounding wire is not connected securely.
a
Check the metal areas of the car body (chassis), and connect the 
grounding wire more securely.
Selection of PAL or NTSC is not properly executed.
a
Identify the connected system, NTSC or PAL, and execute setting from
“INPUT/OUTPUT” in the menu, “USER”, in accordance with the connected
system.

No sound from left,

Left and right balance, or front and rear balance is off on one side.
