Press and hold [t] or [y] until the frequency starts scrolling to start
automatic tuning. Tuning stops when a station is found.

“ST” is displayed when a stereo FM broadcast is being received.

If noise is excessive in FM
Press [PLAY MODE] to display “MONO”.
To cancel, press [PLAY MODE] again.
The mode also cancels when you change the frequency.

AM frequency step (main unit only)

The step is factory-set to 9 kHz, but you can change it to receive broadcasts
allocated to 10 kHz steps.
1. Select “FM”.
2. Press and hold [TUNER, BAND] on the main unit.
After a few seconds the display changes to show the current minimum

frequency. Continue to hold the button down. The minimum frequency
changes and the step is changed.

To return to the original step, repeat the above steps.

Any preset stations are cleared by this procedure. Preset them again.

Select “FM” or “AM”.

Select the
frequency of the
desired station.

Adjust the
volume.

Select the frequency of
the desired station.

The station occupying a channel is erased if another station is
preset in that channel.

Note

Preset channels to make selection simpler. Up to 15 stations can each be set in the FM and AM bands.

Automatic presetting

Tune to the frequency where presetting is to begin (➡ see
above).

Press and hold.

(release when “AUTOCH1” appears)

Preset tuning

Press while the station is ﬂashing
to select the channel.

The tuner presets the stations it can receive into the channels in
ascending order.
When ﬁnished, the last station to be set is played.

Selecting channels

For the remote control only

Press [TUNER/MUSIC P.] to select “FM” or “AM”.

Press the numbered buttons or [u, 2/REW] or

[i, 1/FF] to select the channel.
