The freeway entrance/exit
destination entry method allows a
destination to be chosen by entering
a freeway entrance or exit point.

Press to access the FREEWAY
ENT/EXIT screen.

To use the freeway entrance/exit
destination entry method:

1. Press Freeway and enter the

freeway name. Be sure to use
abbreviations, such as I - 75,
rather than spelling out
Interstate.

Press Sym. to view a list of
symbols to add when entering a
freeway name, press Others to
view a list of special characters
that can be chosen, or press
A - Z to return to the alpha
keypad.

A list of freeways appear.

2. Choose a freeway from the list,

and then press the Entrance or
Exit screen button to choose a
point.

Choose an exit/entrance point
from the list of names that
appear.

Input the exit/entrance by name.
Press the Input Name screen
button. If the freeway exit or
entrance name is input, the

alpha keypad displays. Press
the alpha keypad to enter the
freeway exit or entrance name.

The list can be sorted by
distance or name. Press the
Name Sort screen button to sort
the list by name. Press the Dist.
Sort screen button to have the
list sorted by distance. The
distance sort list is based on the
current position of the vehicle.

After choosing a point from the
list, a map screen appears with
the destination marked.

3. Press

h

(Destination) to

calculate the route.

4. Press Guide to start route

guidance.
