1.  When you are finished transferring files, drag the volume icon to the 

 

(it turns into an Eject

   icon) to unmount the device. 

2.  Disconnect your nüvi from your computer now.

For files that you manually load onto your nüvi, like your MP3 or JPEG files, you can 

paste them anywhere in the “nuvi” and “nuvi sd” drives. If another program, such as 

POI Loader, places a file in a specific folder, keep that file in that specific folder.

You can delete files from your nüvi just as you would delete files from your computer. 

Select the file that you want to delete from your nüvi, and press the 

 key on 

your computer’s keyboard. 

CAUtiOn: If you are not sure about a file’s purpose, do nOt delete it. Your nüvi 

memory contains important system files that should nOt be deleted. Be especially 

cautious of files located in folders entitled “Garmin.”
