you can update by simply clicking a [Update] button on the
maintenance screen.

Insert the supplied CD into your CD-ROM drive.
The driver install window will appear automatically. If not appears, run
the “setup.exe” located on the root directory of the supplied CD-ROM.

Choose your language, then click [Next].
The Software License Agreement appears.

After reading and accepting the License Agreement click [Yes].
The connection type screen appears.

Select the “Network” and click [Next].
The install components screen appears.

Select the component you want to install, then click [Next].
The IP address screen appears.

Enter the IP address.

Configuring the printer port
Just after the printer driver has been installed to Windows XP, Windows
2000, or Windows NT 4.0, its print port is still set for “FILE”. You should
change the printer port (see “Configuring the printer port” on page 2-21).
