Description
Crestron’s ST-CNB is a terminal expander for the SmarTouch STS, CNX Generation or
2-Series control systems. The unit provides for simplified interconnection between Crestron
remote control system (herein referred to as the Cresnet system) devices having a 4-pin

2-Series control systems. The unit provides for simplified interconnection between Crestron

type connector and those having a 6-pin modular RJ-type Cresnet connector.
Refer to the diagram below. Four SmarTouch STS (RJ11) connectors (labeled NET 3 through
NET 6) are located on the long side of the ST-CNB. Two Cresnet (4-pin) connectors (labeled
1 NET and 2 NET) are located on the opposite long side. All connectors are in parallel. A
single green LED (labeled PWR) is centrally located on the silk-screened panel. The LED
illuminates when 24 volts is supplied to any connector. The ST-CNB enclosure extends to
form mounting flanges at the sides of the unit. There are three holes per flange Serial Mouse
Control Driver for installing screws (not supplied) to mount the unit.

(Doc. 5411). All modular wiring should follow the latest revision of Crestron Network Modular Cable
Requirements (Doc. 5682). These documents can be obtained from the Products page (PRODUCT
MANUALS section, manuals for software and wiring diagrams section) or Downloads page (CABLES
and MANUAL Libraries) of Crestron’s website (www.crestron.com). Search for CAT5.PDF and
MODULAR.PDF, respectively. New users are required to register in order to obtain access to the site.
