≥You haven’t inserted a disc. Correctly insert a disc that this unit can play. (page 15)≥The disc is upside down. If it is a single-sided disc, insert it so the label is facing up.

Cannot record.

This disc is not properly formatted.
Formatting is necessary using DISC
INFORMATION.

≥The unit cannot record on the disc you inserted. The unit cannot record onto finalized

DVD-R, DVD-Audio, DVD-Video, CDs or Video CDs.
Insert a DVD-RAM or unfinalized DVD-R. (page 9)

≥You inserted an unformatted DVD-RAM.

Format the disc with this unit. (page 33)

Cannot write into this card.

≥You cannot format a microdrive or mobile hard disk on this unit. (pages 9 and 33)
