Making the Connection
Connecting with Ente rNet
Once your Connection Profile has been saved, an icon representing it will appear in the right-hand
pane of the EnterNet folder. Double-clicking on this icon will invoke the Connect panel, on which
the User Name and Password are displayed. It will also result in the appearance of an EnterNet
icon in the Windows system tray, which is by Windows default present in the lower right corner of
your computer’s screen. To establish a connection, ensure that the User Name and Password
presented on the Connect panel are correct, and then click the Connect button. O nce you have
clicked the Connect button, EnterNet’s system tray icon will change. See the user’s guide section
titled "System Tray" for more information about the various states of the EnterNet system tray
icon.

your screen and a message indicating the reason for the failure will be present in the Messages

the error message that was in the Messages window. This information will help you and your
service provider determine and correct the problem that led to your connection failure. You will
find more information about error messages in the “Connection Errors” section of this User’s
Guide.

System Tray Icon
Once you have launched an EnterNet Connection Profile, EnterNet will place a status icon in the
Windows system tray, which by Windows default appears in the lower right corner of your screen,
at the end of the Windows taskbar.
The EnterNet status icon provides you with information about the current state of your connection.
