This page is used to restrict certain types of data packets from your local network to 
Internet through the device. Use of such filters can be helpful in securing or restricting 
your local network. 
 
7.1 Port filter 
 
Entries in this table are used to restrict certain types of data packets from your local 
network to Internet through the device. Use of such filters can be helpful in securing 
or restricting your local network. 
If the user wants to filter some types of data packets or block local network users from 
accessing restricted web sites, check “Enable Port Filtering” 
 

 

 
Port Range: Enter the port range to restrict. 
Protocol: TCP, UDP or both. 
Comment: Explanatory notes. 
To save all the settings, click “Apply Changes”, the port range, protocol and comment 
will be listed in the “Current Filter Table”.   
If the user doesn’t want to filter the ports listed in the list, check “Selected” and click 
“Delete Selected” or click “Delete All” to delete all filtered ports.
