Removing a Memory Module
Your computer may come with two memory modules already installed in the
memory bay. To upgrade your memory, you may need to remove a module before
you can install an upgrade memory module(s).

Turn off the computer and disconnect all peripheral devices, such as your
printer.

Unplug the computer, and remove the battery pack.

Wait at least one hour for the computer to cool down.

Use an appropriate screwdriver to loosen and remove the screw that secures
the cover of the memory bay on the bottom of the computer.

Touch a metal object, such as the connector panel on the back of your
computer, to discharge any static electricity.
