How to Wear Your Mycestro

Anatomy of a Mycestro
Connecting Your Mycestro to a Device
Charging Your Mycestro
To charge your Mycestro using a computer, insert
the micro-B plug of your USB cable into your Myces-
tro and the standard-A plug into any USB socket on
your computer.
You can also use any USB wall charger that accepts
a standard-A plug. Insert the standard-A plug of your
USB cable into the wall charger and the micro-B plug
into your Mycestro.
A solid blue LED indicates your Mycestro is charging.
We recommend charging your Mycestro for at least
2.5 hours each time you plug it in. A fully-charged
Mycestro under constant use should last about 8
hours.

We recommend fully charging your Mycestro
before its first use. See “Charging your Mycestro”
above for more information.
Each Mycestro is shipped from the factory already
paired with its dongle. Simply plug the dongle into
your desktop, laptop, notebook or other device
using a supported operating system. Touch the
thumbpad: if the green LED blinks rapidly, you’re
ready to go! However, if the green LED flashes
slowly, your Mycestro may need to be paired again
with its dongle using the Mycestro Control App.
The main parts of your Mycestro are the housing
(typically white or black), the strap that wraps
around your finger, and the thumbpad. The
Mycestro also has a micro-B USB port, used for
charging and for reprogramming the Mycestro.
The thumbpad is visibly divided into three sections,
left, middle, and right.
Above the thumbpad are located two LED lights,
one green and one blue. These can shine steadily
(“solid”), blink, or blink rapidly to indicate the status
of your Mycestro.
Along the bottom edge of the thumbpad are three
raised tactile buttons, one at the bottom of each
section: left, middle, and right.
Place the Mycestro on the finger you wish to wear
it (typically your forefinger, or “pointer” finger) and
bend the strap around your finger so that it fits
snugly. Make sure your thumb can comfortably
reach the entire width of the thumbpad.
If you don’t use your Mycestro for a while, its lights
will turn off and it will go to sleep to conserve bat-
tery life. To wake it up, just start using it again.

Maintaining Your Mycestro
To prolong the life of the battery, we recommend
letting your battery power get low before
recharging your Mycestro, and then recharging it
fully. When the battery power is low, the blue LED
will blink when you are touching the thumbpad. To
recharge your Mycestro fully, simply plug it in for at
least 2.5 hours.
You can clean the outside housing of your Mycestro
and the inside of the ring strap by wiping it with a
damp lint-free cloth.
