MultiConnect™ device servers are the ideal solution for connecting
serial devices to a local IP network or the Internet for remote monitoring,
control and configuration. MultiConnect device servers transparently
convert serial data into network data without any modifications to your
existing software or hardware. They include a complete TCP/IP protocol
stack, remote management capabilities and both serial and network
interfaces to provide full network connectivity to virtually any serial device.

Using embedded Internet protocols and a connection to an IP network,

Device Server Technology
The MultiConnect device servers include a processor, operating systems,
and a TCP/IP stack. The MultiConnect SE device server utilizes a
10/100BaseT Ethernet connection to provide a complete serial-to-Ethernet
bridge between the device and an IP network. The MultiConnect SS device
server utilizes an RS-232 connection to enable installed serial devices to
connect to the Internet via analog, ISDN or wireless modems.

Industrial Chassis
The MultiConnect device servers are packaged in a rugged, industrial
chassis with an RS-232 interface connector and a 10/100BaseT Ethernet
connector (SE model) or another RS-232 connector (SS model). They can
be desktop or panel mounted. Numerous LEDs provide visual monitoring
of speed, link, activity, operational status and power. They are available
with external or RS-232 power options.

Serial-to-Bluetooth Adapter
The MultiConnect™ BT Serial-to-Bluetooth adapter utilizes Bluetooth
technology to provide a secure, standards-based wireless connection
between a host and peripheral device. Providing wireless data transfer
up to 100 meters, it completely eliminates the need for serial cable
connections. It interfaces easily through a standard serial connection
and provides secure, robust communication.
