Use the D280A Detector Base where the application
calls for a 24 VDC, two‑wire photoelectric smoke
detector. When using this detector base, detector
power is supplied on a single pair of wires as part of
the initiating loop. The detector base also has a
remote alarm LED terminal.

The detector base mounts on standard three‑inch or
four‑inch octagonal back boxes. It also mounts on
four‑inch square electrical back boxes with an adaptor
plate.

Mounting boxes installed in plenums, pressurized
stairwells, or other air spaces must follow all
applicable codes and the requirements of the
authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
