Failure to follow all instructions listed 

below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. The term “power 

tool” in all of the warnings listed below refers to your mains-operated (corded) 

power tool.

Attention: For optimum performance, allow your new Mini Saw Attachment to run 
at high speed on your rotary tool for 2 minutes before initial use.

a.   Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
b.   Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the 

presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks 
which may ignite the dust or fumes.

c.   Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions 

can cause you to lose control.

a.   Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any 

way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. 
Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.

b.   Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, 

radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric 
shock if your body is earthed or grounded.

c.   Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power 

tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

d.   Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging 

the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. 
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.

e.   When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for 

outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of 
electric shock.

f.  If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use an earth 

leakage circuit breaker. Use of an earth leakage circuit breaker reduces the 
risk of electric shock.

a.   Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating 

a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the 
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while 
operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.

b. 

Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety 
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, 
or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will 
reduce personal injuries.

c.   Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before 

plugging in. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or plugging 
in power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.

d.   Remove any adjusting key or wrench before switching the power tool on. A 

wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result 
in personal injury.

e.   Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables 

better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.

Dress

Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, 

clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long 
hair can be caught in moving parts.

g.   If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection 

facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of these 
devices can reduce dust related hazards.

a.   Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. 

The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it 
was designed.

b.   Do not use the power tool if the switch does not switch it on and off. Any 

power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must 
be repaired.

c.   Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, 

changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety 
measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

d.   Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons 

unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. 
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

e.   Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, 

breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tools 
operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many 
accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

f.   Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with 

sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.

g.   Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance with these 

instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of power tool, 
taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. 
Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result 
in a hazardous situation.

a.   Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only 

identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool 
is maintained.

causing an uncontrolled saw to lift up and out of the workpiece toward the 
operator.

to climb out of the kerf and jump back towards operator.

Kickback is the result of tool misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or 
conditions and can be avoided by taking proper precautions as given below.

trigger and hold the saw motionless in the material until the blade comes to 
a complete stop; never attempt to remove the saw from the work or pull the

MINI SAW ATTACHMENT INSTALLATION
It is extremely important to carefully read and follow the directions below to 
assemble the Mini Saw Attachment to your rotary tool and ensure the tool will 
function properly.

be removed from the tool: the housing cap, collet nut and collet.
Step 1. Press the shaft lock button, unscrew and remove the collet nut. (Figure B)
Step 2. Remove the collet. (Figure C)
Step 3. Unscrew the housing cap from the tool. (Figure D)

Note: If the collet nut and collet are not removed from the motor shaft, the 
tool will not function properly.

Step 4. Install the drive adapter on the motor shaft and tighten. (Figure E)

the wrench. (Wrench is included with your rotary tool kit.)

Step 5. Screw the attachment onto your rotary tool until the coupling is tight

your rotary tool so that the speed control switch on the tool is easily accessible.

Step 1. Mount attachment onto your rotary tool. Be sure rotary tool is unplugged

Step 2. Press the shaft lock button on your rotary tool. Unscrew the screw from 
the mandrel and remove. (Figure G)
Step 3. Pushing the guard foot up on the attachment, place the blade onto the 
mandrel arbor, making sure the arrows on the blade are facing out and the blade 
is resting flat on the shoulder of the mandrel arbor.
Make sure the blade teeth point in the same direction as arrows on upper guard.
While retracting the lower guard, check operation and condition, including the 
spring. (Figure H)
Step 4. Press the shaft lock button on your rotary tool. Replace the screw and 
tighten securely. (Figure I)

TYPES OF CUTS

Ripping is cutting lengthwise, with the grain of the wood. Cross cutting is cutting 
against the grain.
Your rotary tool should be running at the set speed before starting the cut, and 
turned off only after completing the cut.

DIRECTIONAL GUIDE
Feed direction for the rotary tool is right to left only.
For a straight 90° cut, use the directional guide on the left side of the guard to

Maintain a firm grip. Never force the rotary tool. Use light and continuous 
pressure.
When cutting across the grain, the fibers of the wood have a tendency to tear 
and lift. Advancing the saw slowly minimizes this effect.

CUTTING LARGE SHEETS
Large sheets and long boards sag or bend, depending on support. If you attempt 
to cut without leveling and properly supporting the piece, the blade will tend to 
bind, causing KICKBACK and extra load on the rotary tool. (Figure J)
Support the panel or boards close to the cut, as shown in (Figure K). Be sure that

the work with the narrow sides as this is an unsteady arrangement. If the sheet 
or board to be cut is too large for a table or work bench, use the supporting

TOOL LUBRICATION
Your saw attachment has been properly lubricated and is ready to use.

Saw Attachment may be cleaned most effectively with a damp cotton 

swab or compressed dry air.

Ventilation openings and switch levers must be kept clean and free of foreign 
matter. Do not attempt to clean by inserting pointed objects through openings.

Certain cleaning agents and solvents damage plastic parts. Some of 
these are: gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated cleaning solvents, 
ammonia and household detergents that contain ammonia.

CARE OF BLADES
Blades become dull even from cutting regular lumber. If you find yourself forcing 
the rotary tool forward to cut instead of just guiding it through the cut, chances 
are the blade is dull or coated with wood pitch.
When cleaning gum and wood pitch from blade, unplug the rotary tool and 
remove the blade. Remember, blades are designed to cut, so handle carefully. 
Wipe the blade with kerosene or similar solvent to remove the gum and pitch.
A dull or damaged blade slows the speed of cutting and places a heavier load 
on your rotary tool, and can cause KICKBACK. Keep extra blades on hand so you 
always have sharp, efficient blades ready to replace a dull or damaged one.
Use only Dremel Saw Blades with your saw attachment.

INSTALLATION DES MINI-SÄGEN-VORSATZGERÄTS

Elektrowerkzeug: DREI Komponenten müssen von dem Werkzeug abgenommen 
werden: die Gehäusekappe, die Spannmutter und die Spannzange.

Schritt 1. Drücken Sie den Spindelarretierungsknopf, lösen Sie die Arretierung 
und nehmen Sie die Spannmutter ab. (Abb. B) 
Schritt 2. Nehmen Sie die Spannzange ab. (Abb. C)
Schritt 3. Lösen Sie die Gehäusekappe von dem Werkzeug. (Abb. D)

Schritt 4. Installieren Sie den Antriebsadapter an der Motorwelle und ziehen Sie 
ihn fest. (Abb. E)

Ziehen Sie den Antriebsadapter nicht zu fest an, um 
Beschädigungen des Werkzeugs zu vermeiden. Ziehen Sie den 
Antriebsadapter mit den Fingern an und ziehen Sie ihn anschließend mit 

dem Schraubenschlüssel um eine weitere 1/3 Umdrehung an. (Der

Schritt 5. Schrauben Sie das Vorsatzgerät am Werkzeug fest, bis die Kupplung 
fest am Gehäuse sitzt. Ziehen Sie sie nur per Hand fest. Das Vorsatzgerät sollte 
so am Werkzeug ausgerichtet sein, das die Drehzahlkontrolle am Gerät leicht 
zugänglich ist. (Abb. F)

Schritt 1. Montieren Sie das Vorsatzgerät an Ihrem Werkzeug. Vergewissern Sie 
sich, dass das Werkzeug nicht eingesteckt und sich der Schalter in der Position 
AUS befindet.
Schritt 2. Drücken Sie den Spindelarretierungsknopf an Ihrem Werkzeug. Lösen 
Sie die Schraube am Schraubdorn und nehmen Sie diese ab. (Abb. G)
Schritt 3. Drücken Sie den Fuß der Schutzklappe an dem Vorsatzgerät nach 
oben und bringen Sie das Sägeblatt auf der Bohrung des Schraubdorns an. 
Vergewissern Sie sich dabei, dass die Pfeile an dem Sägeblatt nach außen 
zeigen und das Sägeblatt flach auf der Auflage der Schraubdornbohrung ruht. 
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Sägezähne in die gleiche Richtung zeigen wie die 
Pfeile an der oberen Schutzabdeckung. (Abb. H)
Schritt 4. Drücken Sie den Spindelarretierungsknopf an Ihrem Werkzeug. Bringen 
Sie die Schraube wieder an und ziehen Sie sie fest. (Abb. I)

zu einer schnelleren Abnutzung des Sägeblatts führen.
Nicht für Metall und Stein verwenden.

RICHTUNGSFÜHRUNG
Die Vorschubrichtung des Werkzeugs ist immer von rechts nach links.

mit der schöneren Seite nach unten.

Halten Sie das Werkzeug immer gut fest. Drücken Sie das Werkzeug niemals 
kräftig in die Vorschubrichtung. Arbeiten Sie mit leichtem und gleichmäßigem 
Druck.

GROSSE PLATTEN SCHNEIDEN
Große Platten und lange Bretter können sich ohne geeignete Stützen leicht 
biegen. Wenn Sie versuchen, ohne einen entsprechenden Ausgleich und

zum Blockieren und zum Rückschlag; dies ist eine zusätzliche Belastung des

Stützen Sie die Platte bzw. das Brett nahe an der Schnittlinie, wie in (Abb. 
K) gezeigt. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Schnitt nur durch die Platte bzw.

Anheben und Stützen des Werkstücks sollten so positioniert werden, dass sie die

aufliegen. Stützen Sie das Werkstück nicht an den Schmalseiten; dies könnte zu 
einer instabilen Anordnung führen. Wenn die Platte bzw. das Brett zu groß für 
den Arbeitstisch bzw. die Werkbank ist, setzen Sie die Böcke auf dem Boden auf 
und sichern Sie sie. 
Verwenden Sie bei Längsschnitten immer eine gerade Führungskante. Dadurch 
wird die Genauigkeit des Schnitts verbessert und das Risiko eines verbogenen 
Sägeblatts reduziert.

durch das Holz zu führen, vergrößert sich das Risiko, dass das Blatt stumpf wird 
oder mit Holzresten verschmutzt ist.

e di raccolta, assicurarsi che gli stessi siano collegati e che vengano utilizzati 
correttamente. L’utilizzo di tali dispositivi contribuisce a ridurre lo svilupparsi di 
situazioni pericolose provocate dalla presenza di polvere.

a.   Non sottoporre la macchina a sovraccarico. Per il proprio lavoro, utilizzare
