Note:  1.  Users are recommended to use the specified version of IAR Embedded 

Workbench. Other versions are not supported and may not work with the 

BitCloud PS SDK. 

To install the SDK, proceed with the following installation instructions. 
1. Download  the  BitCloud PS SDK,  and install it by unzipping the 

BitCloud_PS_XMEGA_version.zip

  file into an empty folder while ensuring there 

are no blank spaces in the path to it (that is, avoid to have folder names such as 

Program Files/, My Documents/ and similar in the installation path) 

NOTE 

If the SDK installation path contains any blank spaces in its directory names, errors 

indicating path issues will occur when compiling reference and custom applications 

with such SDK. 
2. The SDK folders and files will be created, as described in 

. 

3. Install selected IDE 

a.  For IAR Embedded Workbench AVR: 

i.  Install IAR Embedded Workbench for AVR 

, if not already 

installed on the PC 

ii.  Add a Windows environment variable called 

IAR_AVR_HOME and set its value to the installation 

directory of the IAR Embedded Workbench (for default 

installation it is 

C:\Program Files\IAR 

Systems\Embedded Workbench 6.11). To do this go to 

Control Panel > System > Advanced > 

Environment Variables, click 

New
