5. Connection and Operation of the
Modules
Solder the power supply wires to the soldering points of the modu-
les. Please pay attention to correct polarity of the connecting
cables. At both modules the corresponding minus wires with the
soldering point "Ground” are connected to the plus wires with the
point "+V/DC”. Connect the input signal for the transmitter to the
points "Ground” and "Input”. On the circuit board the antenna is
already printed. Under difficult transmitting conditions you may also
solder an external antenna to it. For an optimum emission of high
frequency please lay the wire antenna on the complete length.
Transmitter
At the receiver you may calliper the transmitted signal at the points
"Data” and "Ground” and feed it into your analysis electronics (not
included in the scope of delivery). Lay out the ribbon antenna paral-
lel to the transmitter antenna.
Receiver

Before you switch on the operating voltage check whether the
wiring has been carried out correctly. Make sure that the soldering
points at the connecting wires are not short circuited. After the
application of the operating voltage and the input signal at the trans-
mitter the data is transmitted. Please note that the transmitter does
not transmit without input signal!
6. Possible Causes for Diminished Reach
- Buildings of any kind between transmitter and receiver diminish
the reach.
- Conductive areas or objects in the immediate vicinity of transmit-
ter or receiver modify the characteristics of radiation considerab-
ly and influence the reach.
- The transmitter antenna should be directed lineally away from the
rest of the circuit
- The receiver must not be positioned in a noise field (PC or moni-
tor).
- Other systems such as e.g. radio earphones, which use the same
frequency may interfere with the frequency of the transmitter.
7. Disposal
Should the modules become unserviceable and the
reparation be impossible please dispose of them
according to the applicable legal regulations.
