8. Installation of the USB driver

For use the modem you have to install the USB driver before connecting the modem

at the USB- port. You will find the installation file on the CD.

Please note that the GSM modem is delivered with the two diffe-

rent modem modules g24 (GSM/GPRS) and h24 (UMTS). For a

correct installation it is necessary that the driver files are choo-

sen according to the modem module that is used (g24 resp. h24)

If the PC does not register the modem you have to restart the PC.

9. Use of the GPRS / UMTS function

GPRS / UMTS- functionality is available with all known opsrating systems (Windows,

Linux, MacOS). For Windows- PC the easy to use license- free software GPRS-

manager from Motorola is available. However, this software is not able to handle a

PIN. Thertefore you have to de-activate the PIN of the SIM or type in the key by an

AT-command using a terminal software.

10. First modem settings

The use oft he modem is possible with any terminal software. ConiuGo delivers its

own terminal software “ConiuGo Modem Terminal” (with limited features) that is

available from the product- CD. The full version of this software is also available on

request.

Not only software from ConiuGo is possible to be used but also other well-known

software like Telix, Hyperterminal or Commlite (also on the product- CD).

Th use of the modem is done by AT- commands. The reference- manual oft he AT-

commands is stored on the CD that is delivered with the modem.
