The splash proof case is not intended for under 
water use. For using the SOCAM under water 
and in water depth >1 m, check out the diving 
accessories at www.socam.me.

The SOCAM is neither splash-water-proof nor water-proof. While 
using the SOCAM in a fully dry environment the splash-proof case

 may not be necessary.

If splash water, dirt or mud is expected during use, the splash-proof 
case must be used. Use of the splash-proof case has the additional 
benefit of protecting the SOCAM from damage and dust. Proceed as 
follows 

(»Fig. 6):

1.  To open the splash-proof case, press the locks at the bottom of 

the splash-proof case and remove the cover. 

2  Remove the protective cover

 from the SOCAM.

3.  Slide the SOCAM into the case.

4.  Put the cover back in place. Make sure it locks properly.

5.  The SOCAM can now be operated as usual.

External sensor modules and battery packs can be used with the 
SOCAM in the splash-proof case (Refer to
