Chapter 4: Playing Files

Chapter
High-Speed Card reader
The Lyra Recorder also functions as a high-speed SD/MMC card reader when a SD/MCC memory card is properly inserted
into the device.
If a memory card is properly inserted and you wish to view the contents of the card when connected to a computer via USB
port, the device’s USB protocol needs to be changed to MSC mode, refer to page 23 for details. Once this change is made,
an additional drive will be assessable through Windows Explorer to transfer content to and from the card. All file types, not
just multimedia files, may be stored on the card.
Notes:  SD/MMC memory cards MUST be formatted in FAT16 or FAT32 in order to be properly detected.
Other formats may result in device errors.
When using a memory card, only Music and Photo content will be available for direct playback (viewing)
on the Lyra Recorder. Video content must be copied onto the device’s hard drive in order to be available
for playback.
See Setup menu for instructions on switching device to MSC mode.
