2.5.2  Link Aggregate Root Router Mode 
 
The Link Aggregate Mode is used to achieve increased bandwidth, high availability and link 
redundancy. Link aggregation is used to optimize port (link) usage by grouping ports (Radio A and 
Radio B) together to form a single aggregate link with a higher bandwidth. 
The Link Aggregate Mode also provides link redundancy without user intervention if one of the link 
fails. However, please note that if one of the links fail, the bandwidth will be reduced as only a single 
link is functional.

As we can see from the above figure, both the radios in airHaul
2
 Nexus PRO is configured in Link 
Aggregate mode to bridge the distance from Internet backbone to an office building to provide last 
mile connectivity. They are able to provide a higher bandwidth, which cannot be achieved using single 
radio models.  
 
In this mode, the user needs to ensure that the Remote Device is configured as Link Aggregate 
Remote Router/NAT mode.
