In the Repeater mode, the two radios in the airHaul

2

 Nexus PRO are configured as Root and Remote. 

The configuration allows the user to configure the airHaul

2

 Nexus PRO unit as Root Bridge, Remote 

Bridge or Remote Router/NAT mode.   

 

By default, airHaul

2

 Nexus PRO unit is set to Repeater Mode and one radio acts as Root Bridge and 

the other radio as Remote Bridge. 
 

 

Follow the steps below to change from Root Bridge mode to Remote Bridge mode: 

 

 

1. Go 

to 

Tools  | System Configuration drop down menu. The System Configuration will be 

displayed as shown below. 

 
2.  Alternatively, click on the current device mode link on the top right hand corner to go to the 

System Configuration page.  

 
3.  Click on the Current Operational Mode, select the radio that has to be configured as 

Remote Bridge and click on Apply Changes. A confirmation pop-up window will be 
displayed. 

 
4.  Enter IP Address, IP Mask and Gateway for Ethernet Configuration. DHCP is disabled by 

default and can be enabled if required. 

 

5. Click 

on 

the 

Apply Changes button to change the settings. The device will reboot and be set 

to the chosen operational mode.
