How to repair a hard disk or floppy disk
You can repair some types of disk damage by using the Disk First Aid
program, which is on the Macintosh Performa CD that came with your
computer.

Start up your computer from the

Open the Disk First Aid icon.

Click the icon of the disk you want to test.
Disk icons appear in a box at the top of the Disk First Aid window.
