MICROSOFT ACCESS: To store archived alarms and events in Microsoft Access files, select Microsoft Access. Select the folder 
where the archive files will be stored from the drop-down list. You can change the folder at any time without shutting down the 
archive server. Refer to View Archive Server Status for instructions on selecting a folder once the archive server is running.

SQL SERVER: To store archived alarms and events on a SQL Server, select SQL Server.

SERVER: Type the IP address or computer name of the SQL server that will store the archives.

USER NAME: Type the SQL Server user name.

(3)

PASSWORD: Type the SQL Server password.

TEST CONNECTION: To make sure a connection can be made to the SQL server, click Test Connection.

A window opens that tells you whether the connection was successfully established or not. Click OK to close the window.

6. Click OK. The Configure Archive Server dialog box will close. If you are running the archive server as a service, start the server through the 

Windows Control Panel Administrative Tools, or restart the computer the archive server application is installed on. An icon representing the 
archive server will appear in the Windows system tray, indicating that the server is running.

1. Double-click the archive server icon in the Windows system tray, or right-click the icon and select Show from the pop-up menu. The Archive 

Server window opens.

The top pane of the window lists the IP address and port number of the servers that are connected to the archive server, and any clients 
that are connected to those servers.
