System Menu Options

Video output settings 
(underlined options are the factory default settings)
HDMI output
 
This feature is applicable only if you have connected a HDMI 
device. It is only available if you have set { Active video output } 
to { HDMI output }.
Auto } 
–  The video output will automatically follow 
the optimal display resolution.
Native 
–  The video output is will follow the native 
display resolution of the HDMI TV.
Manual Install }  – Select the video resolution depending on 
the capability of the connected HDMI 
TV/device: { 480p }, { 480i }, { 576p }, 
{ 576i }, { 720p }, { 1080i }. 
Note: If you select the settings { 720p } or { 1080i }, there will not be 
any concurrent display through other video connections (e.g., SCART, 
CVBS, YUV or S-Video).
Audio output settings 
(underlined options are the factory default settings)
Digital output
 
This setting is only required if you are using the recorder’s 
COAXIAL (DIGITAL OUT) socket to connect other audio/video 
device.
All } 
–  Select this if the connected device has a built-in 
multi-channel decoder that supports one of the 
multi-channel audio format (Dolby Digital,
MPEG-2).
PCM }  
–  Select this if the connected device is not capable 
of decoding multi-channel audio. The system will 
convert the Dolby Digital and MPEG-2 multi-
channel signals to PCM (Pulse Code Modulation).
