How to set up WEP
WEP provides a basic level of security, preventing unauthorized access to the
network and encrypting data transmitted between wireless clients (and the access
point). WEP uses static shared keys (fixed-length hexadecimal or alphanumeric
strings) that are manually distributed among all clients that want to use the
network.

To use the WEP function, take the following steps:

Select WEP from the Authentication Type drop-down menu.

Select 128-bit or 64-bit in the Key Length field.

In the Key Type field, select ASCII or Hex.

In the Default Key field, select one key as the default key that you want to use
for encryption.
