1. Connect to the Total Access 6XX using the 10/100BASET interface.

If you are not already connected to the unit’s 

 port using Telnet client software, use the 

procedure in DLP-5, Connecting to the Unit Using Telnet, to connect to the unit. 

2. Log in to the unit using the read-write password (see DLP-2, Logging in to the System, for details).

3. Verify the TFTP server is running on the network. 

4. Go to the S

 menu and select the C

 menu; press <Enter>.

5. Verify the T

 is set to TFTP.

6. Set the TFTP S

 to the IP address of the machine running the TFTP Server 

Program.

7. Change TFTP S

 to a unique filename (for example, ta604.cfg). This will be the name 

of the configuration file saved to the remote server. 

Some TFTP servers constrain the format of the filename depending on the operating system of the 
server. For example, a TFTP server running on a PC under Windows 3.1 may only permit 8.3 format 
filenames (8 characters, period and three extension characters).

8. Select the S

 menu field and press <Enter>. Respond with Y to confirm the 

request.

9. View C

 to verify the progress of the current transfer. During a successful 

transfer, you will first see D

, and then D

10. When the transfer process has successfully completed, I

 displays in the C

 field and D

 displays in the P

 field.
