Renaming/deleting a sound/picture
You have selected an entry.

If a sound/picture cannot be deleted (

these options are not available. Depend-
ing on the situation, you can select the fol-
lowing functions:
Rename 
Change the name (max. 16 characters) 
and press

. The entry is stored with 
the new name. 
Delete Entry 
The selected entry is deleted. 
Delete List 
All deletable entries in the list are 
deleted. 
A deleted ringtone is automatically 
replaced. 
Checking memory
You can check the remaining available 
memory and the share of memory used 
for screensavers, CLIP pictures and 
sounds.

Activating/deactivating advisory 
tones
Your handset uses ‘advisory tones’ to tell 
you about different activities and sta-
tuses. The following advisory tones can be 
activated and deactivated independently 
of each other:
Key click: every key press is confirmed.
Acknowledge tones
– Confirmation tone (ascending tone 
sequence): at the end of making an 
entry/setting and upon receipt of an 
SMS (depending on base station) or 
a new entry in the answering 
machine list (depending on base 
station) or the calls list
– Error beep (descending tone 
sequence): when you make an 
incorrect entry
– Menu end tone: when scrolling at 
the end of a menu 
Battery low beep: the battery pack 
requires charging.
