HotSync Manager and Technology
The HotSync manager controls the entire HotSync process. It runs in the
background and monitors the communication between your phone and
the desktop computer.

Performing Your First HotSync Operation
An initial setup is required on both the desktop computer and your phone
to synchronize the data for the first time. Once the information is
entered, and your phone is recognized, the information is not required

Perform a HotSync the First Time

Connect your phone cradle to the desktop computer and plug in the
power cord.

Launch the Palm Desktop application on the desktop computer.

Click on the HotSync icon
located in the Windows task bar to
open the HotSync Manager.

Click “Local Serial” from the HotSync Managers menu.
