Your phone gives audible alerts (beeps) at certain times to 

inform you that certain things have happened. There are four 

of these beep alerts and they only occur in your earpiece so 

the other party does not hear them. You can turn each of 

these alerts off if you like. The alerts are: Minute Beep, 

Service Alert, Connect Alert, and Disconnect Alert. Following 

is a description of each beep and a simple procedure to turn 

it on or off.

When you are on a call, the Minute Beep sounds an alert 10 

seconds before each elapsed minute. This beep can help you 

keep track of the length of your calls. To turn the Minute 

Beep on or off:

Press 

 to display the Main Menu.

Press 

 for Sounds.

3.

Press 

 for Alerts.

4.

Press 

 for Minute Beep.

5.

Press the scroll keys to select On or Off.

6.

When the desired option displays, press 

 to save the 

setting. 

The Service Alert beep occurs when you leave a service area 

and when you enter a service area. To turn the Service Alert 

beep on or off:

 to display the Main Menu in Standby mode 

before placing the call.
