Section 2: Understanding Your PCS Phone 

All incoming page or text messages are stored in the Inbox.

Press 

- (Menu) or K to access the main menu. 

Highlight Messaging and press 

K or - (Select). 

Highlight Inbox and press 

K or - (Select). 

Highlight a message and press 

K or - (Select).

: Read and Locked 

Press 

+ (Options) to display the Inbox options. (To select an 

option, highlight it and press

K or - [Select].)

Call: Calls the number in the message header or embedded 
in the message. 

䡲

Reply: Opens a new text message with the sender’s Reply 
To number or e-mail address in the To field. 

䡲

Forward: Forwards the selected message to another 
recipient.

Lock/Unlock: Locks or unlocks the selected message. Select 
Lock to lock the message or Unlock to unlock the message.

Save Number: Saves the From address phone number to the 
Phone Book only if the full 10-digit number does not 
currently exist in the Phone Book. 

䡲

Save Email: If an e-mail address exists in the From field or in 
the text of the message, this option allows you to save it to 
a new or existing Phone Book entry. 

䡲

Delete: Deletes the selected text message. 

䡲

Delete All: Deletes all unlocked messages. Launches to the 
Delete All confirmation screen. 

If there is no callback number or e-mail address, the reply and call option 
are not displayed. 

You will be given the option to include the original message in the body 
of the reply.
