Section 2: Understanding Your PCS Phone

Send: Opens a new message with the selected quick note 
text in the Msg field. Complete the other fields in the 
message. To send the quick note to multiple recipients, 
enter multiple phone numbers in the To field as described 
in step 2 of the procedure for Sending a Text Message.

Delete: Deletes the selected quick note. To delete, use 
- (Yes) or + (No). 

You can customize your phone’s messaging settings.

Press 

- (Menu) or K to access the main menu. 

Select Messaging and press 

K or - (Select). 

You can also press 

K or - (Select) to enter a separate 

screen where you can make your selection. 

Use the 

U/D buttons to select between On or Off options 

and press 

K or - (Select) to save your selection and return 

to the previous screen. (The messaging settings menu will 
display.)

Select one of the following options from the messaging settings 
menu: Display Pop-up, Overwrite, Messaging Alerts, and Delete 
All Messages. 

Press 

K to access the highlighted option.

Use the 

L/R buttons on the Navigation key to select On or 

Off. To save, press 

U or D. (Your phone displays a confirma-

tion message and returns to the Message Settings screen; the 
previous or next menu item is now highlighted.)

Press

K or - (Select) to use the detailed screen, set as 

desired using 

U/D, and press K or - (Select) to save 

your selection. (Your phone displays a confirmation message 
and returns to the Message Settings screen.)
