IMPORTANT
• Toshiba recommends that you take the following minimum general security
precautions in connection with choosing a GROUP NAME and PASSWORD
when connecting the camera to a DVD recorder with DVR:
• Choose a unique GROUP NAME and PASSWORD that would be difficult for
someone else to guess (e.g., do not use the same PASSWORD that you use
for your email account, router, etc.).
• Do not share your GROUP NAME and PASSWORD with anyone.
On some models of Toshiba DVD recorder with DVR, “TOSHIBA” (half-pitch
uppercase letters) is set as both the default group name and the group password.
If you continue to use the default settings on a Toshiba DVD recorder with DVR,
(you can also set “TOSHIBA” as the group name and password for the camera),
it is strongly recommended that you set new group names and passwords to
prevent unauthorized access to your data.
