Initial Installation
QUALIFIED INSTALLERS ONLY
When  combustible  materials  are 
directly  above  a  90
o
  elbow,  the 
clearance  from  the  top  of  the  elbow 
is  3”  (76mm)  for  rigid  pipe  &  4  3/8” 
(111mm)  for  flex  pipe.    When  the 
elbow is above the unit, the clearance 
is 8” (203mm) above the elbow.
A shelf may be installed above the unit. 
We recommend that no heat sensitive 
items or components be placed on the 
shelf (see Figure 29).
