To order Cisco Secure ACS 5.1 you must order one of the Base Product part numbers shown in Table 1. If you are 

upgrading an existing ACS deployment, please review the Upgrades and Migration section instead. 

Cisco Secure ACS 5.1 Part Numbers for new orders 

ACS 1121 Appliance with 5.1 Software and Base License 

ACS 5.1 VMware Software and Base License 

ACS 5.1 VMware Software + Base License (Electronic Delivery) 

If you require any additional licenses, such as the large deployment license to support more than 500 devices, then 

you will need to order one of the product part numbers shown in Table 2.

ACS 5 Large Deployment Add-On License 

ACS 5 Large Deployment License (Electronic Delivery) 

Upgrade part numbers are available to enable customers to upgrade from any previous version of Cisco Secure 

Access Control Server to the 5.1 release. In addition to the upgrade part number, Cisco Secure ACS 5.1 includes 

software utilities to migrate data from ACS 4.x and previous versions. These utilities are included in the upgrade 

package. Please see the product documentation for more details on data migration. 

If you want to upgrade from Cisco Secure ACS 4.2 or earlier, please choose the relevant option from Table 3.

If you have an existing Cisco Secure ACS 5.0 1120 Appliance or VMware product, you can upgrade using the part 

numbers in Table 4. You should select the relevant option depending on your platform (1120 Appliance or VMware 

virtual machine), and whether you have an existing Software Application Support (SAS) contract or not.

Electronic Delivery is available for VMware software appliance versions of Cisco Secure ACS 5.1 and additional 

license options, such as the Large Deployment license.
